Why don’t you post colors of linens on your website?
This is easily the question I get the most about our website. Through my years of working in the event industry (going on double digits pretty soon!), I have found that colors do not transfer well from real life to camera to website. I have seen a beautiful rich red turn into an orangey red and don’t even get me started on blues and greens!!
I truly believe that if you are trying to match something, whether it be a swatch or a paper napkin or a centerpiece, you should really swing by our office and physically look at the colors and the fabric. Even the type of fabric can have an effect on the color!
At Chair Rental, we have worked really hard to give our clients the best equipment possible. We are constantly looking at new trends for weddings and each season’s “hot colors”. We have always tried to purchase a quality linen to give our client’s the most bang for their buck.
So, while I will send client’s pictures of certain colors they are looking for, I always warn them that while I don’t mind sending the picture, it may not look like the true color because of the lighting or the camera or even their screen, whether it is a phone or a tablet or a moniter.
